Why Green Couch?
It all started with a trip to a thrift store where we spotted a fabulous green retro style couch in amazingly near new condition. We just knew we had to have it. One thing led to another and Green Couch Designs was officially brought to life.
We recently changed our official biz name, (formerly Hula-la Design Co.) to reflect our broader range of work and clientele- we're still pink and sparkly at heart- which is what we're known for, just a little more grown up around the edges... and we're very excited about it!

Green Couch Designs is a small, casual, and enthusiastic design studio, located in Mission, BC in the beautiful Fraser Valley. We sincerely love what we do, and it shows in our work, our friendly service, and passion for making our clients happy. You won't see any business suits, pushy sales people or big-business blah blah blah- we don't like any of that stuff so we don't do it.

We've had the opportunity to work with many clients in a broad range of industries. From retail, restaurants, magazines and publications, to corporate business, print shops and everything in between, we have the experience and know-how to create unique, affordable and cool solutions for your projects from start to finish.

Over the past 2 years, Green Couch Designs has emerged as one of the best (check out our testimonials!). We have clients all over the world- Australia, New York, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver, just to name a few, and we will make it as easy as possible to work with us from wherever you may be.

I have over 16 years experience in the design field and seriously love what I do! I started in the old-school design days when everything was literally hands-on. Over the years, I worked at several studios and agencies where I honed my craft and my skillset, and developed a unique style, combining old and new with a mix of hand and computer-based work.
I have a passion for arts and crafts, fashion, painting, creating and crafting. And shoes. And retro anything, particularly hawaiian memorabilia and groovy records. I participate in lowbrow art shows and have sold several paintings...

Anything else you want to say?
I got tired of working for other people and I wanted a change, so about two years ago i decided to teach my self web design . I like challenges (Internet Explorer 6)
and to tinker around, which building a web site certainly is.

Embracing our new colour, we try to be Green as much as possible:
- We work from our home office = no commute (unless you count going down the 4 stairs to the office)
- We compost, recycle, and reduce/reuse whenever possible
- We use reusable shopping bags, some of which we made from leftover fabric from sewing projects
- We shop local as much and as often as possible
- We try to encourage using paperless solutions to design projects- such as e-brochures/flyers
- We try to discourage face-to-face meetings and prefer to work via phone and email to reduce commuting time to the city.
It seems to work quite well all around, and saves us driving time, gas, and gains us extra time in the day to work on your projects.
